Terms of use
Short version: this is a catalog, the listing is the contract, and we do not invent specifications.
What this site is
This site is the published catalog of the AELS range. It carries no checkout, takes no payment and forms no contract. When you buy one of these pieces, the contract is with the retailer whose listing you complete the purchase on, under their terms.
Prices and availability
Prices shown here are read from the live listing when the site is built and are correct at that moment. They move, and stock moves faster. Where this site and the listing disagree, the listing is right. Nothing here is an offer to sell at the price displayed.
Product information
Specifications on this site are drawn from the product listings themselves: sizes, fabrics, set counts, mount type, closure, glazing, and whether a filling is included. Where a listing does not state a figure, the field is left blank. We do not estimate a measurement and we do not carry one across from a similar piece in another size or color.
Color and texture on a screen
A photograph of a pile fabric is a photograph of one lighting condition. Velvet, plush and chenille change tone with the angle of the light and with the angle you stand at, and no screen reproduces that. Deep colors in particular photograph slightly differently on every display, and natural fiber pieces vary between production runs by design rather than by accident.
Trademarks
AELS and the AELS mark belong to the brand and appear here on the brand's own catalog. Other product and company names mentioned anywhere on this site remain the property of their respective owners.
Links out
Buy links lead to retail listings on sites we do not run. Those sites are not under our control, and their terms, privacy policies and delivery arrangements are their own. We check that each link points at the correct piece when the site is built; if a listing is later withdrawn or replaced, a link may lead somewhere unexpected until the next build.
Limits
This catalog is published as information. Care labels, packaging notices and any warranty terms are supplied with the product itself and take precedence over any summary here, including the washing and cleaning guidance. A care label sewn into a cover describes that cover; a page describing a range describes the range.

About AELS
We make the layer that goes on top of the furniture: the pillow, the cover, the frame, the basket in the corner.
4 sectionsHow we make them
Three kinds of making run through the catalog: things sewn, things cast, and things woven.
5 sectionsFabric and care
Fifty-one pieces here go in a washing machine. The rest need a cloth and about a minute, and knowing which is which is most of the job.
