The small things that finish a corner: light where there is no socket, weight where a shelf needs it, and a few pieces for the table.
Half of this range exists because of a wiring plan drawn by somebody who did not live in the house. The wall that should have a sconce has nothing behind it; the shelf that should glow is nowhere near a socket. Rechargeable LEDs solved that quietly in the last few years, and a cordless sconce on a single nail now does visually what used to need an electrician.
Be clear about what that light is for. Our cordless lamps are ambient and decorative: they give a shelf or a nightstand a warm point of glow in the evening, and they will not light a page. Anything sold here as reading light would be a lie told with a 3-volt bulb.
Lampshades in this range need a spider fitter and a harp, which is the standard arrangement on most American table and floor lamps. If your lamp does not have a harp, add one before the shade will fit.
