Coastal and beach

Shells, sea life and lounge-chair towels, in the washed-out palette a room near water asks for.

Coastal decor goes wrong in one specific way: it gets literal. A room does not need a ship's wheel to read as a room near the sea; it needs a palette that has been left in the sun and a few shapes that are recognizably from the water rather than about it. So the sculpted pieces in this range are white, and the color arrives on the nautical pairs where it is meant to be loud.

The other half of the range is not decoration at all. The lounge chair covers are 85-inch microfiber towels cut to fit a recliner, with a fitted top pocket, corner straps and three side pockets, and they solve the actual poolside problems: the towel slides off, the chair is too hot to sit on, and there is nowhere to put a phone.

The sculpted white pieces are dyed in batches, so buying a set together gives you a closer match across pieces than buying them one at a time months apart.
