What this one is for
This is the one to buy when you do not want the baskets to be a feature. A single pale beige across a whole shelf reads as one continuous surface, so what people see is the furniture and the objects on display, not a row of containers. In a bedroom or a living room that is usually the right answer.
Beige also has an advantage the darker mixes do not: on an open shelf it reflects light rather than absorbing it, so a deep cube does not turn into a dark hole. The trade-off is honest, though, and worth saying: a pale cotton rope shows marks sooner than a coffee one, so it belongs somewhere above hand height in a busy house.
