| 4 x 4 | Square print | Shelf, small groupings |

| 8 x 10 | Portrait print | Gallery wall, hallway |
Frames
The opening size is the print size: a 5 x 7 frame takes a 5 x 7 photograph without trimming. Oval and arched openings crop the corners, so keep the subject centered.
Gallery walls
Lay the frames out on the floor first, biggest piece slightly off center. Keep two to three inches between frames and the center of the group at about 57 inches from the floor.
Pillow covers
Buy an insert the same size as the cover, or one inch larger for a fuller look: an 18 x 18 cover takes an 18 or 19 inch insert; a 12 x 20 lumbar takes a 12 x 20 insert.
Shaped pillows
Shaped pillows are measured at their longest point when lying flat. A 22-inch cactus stands about that tall; a 24 x 12 lips pillow fills the corner of a three-seat sofa.
