White cushions on a white bed sound like nothing and photograph like everything, because at that point shape is the only thing left to look at. That is the whole idea here: a five-armed starfish at about 18.9 inches square and a scallop shell at about 18.9 by 17, both in the same white, so what you register from the doorway is silhouette and shadow.

The face is a fine dotted weave that reads as velvet but runs softer and smoother in the hand, and the fill is eco-friendly PP cotton with no smell out of the bag. Both pieces are firm enough to keep their arms and ridges standing rather than slumping into a lump, which is where cheap sculpted cushions fail within a month.

Every one is finished by hand, so measurements shift slightly and no two shells have identical ribbing. They ship vacuum-sealed, which means an unimpressive first evening: shake them out, leave them 24 to 48 hours, and the loft comes back on its own. Wash cold, separately, tumble dry low, and keep bleach away even though they are white.
