What this one is for
A ring dish keeps rings in one place and scratches them against each other doing it. This does the opposite job: the velvet slots hold each ring separately and upright, so nothing rubs, nothing is buried underneath anything else, and the ones you actually wear are the ones in front of you rather than the ones at the top of a pile.
The frame itself is 5.7 by 8.6 with a 4 by 6 velvet display area, sculpted in resin with an antique gold finish and a bow across the top. The bow is what makes it decor rather than storage: on a dressing table it reads as an ornament that happens to be functional, which is the only version of a jewelry organizer that ever stays out on display.
Stud earrings go into the slots as easily as rings. It stands on its own easel on a vanity, dresser or countertop, and there is a wall hook built in if the surface is already full. Velvet against metal is also the practical part: it is soft enough not to mark plated bands.
