Description
If you buy one frame from this range, it is probably this one. A 5 by 7 is the size that sits properly on a desk, a nightstand or a bookshelf without either disappearing or dominating, and black with gold is the finish that goes anywhere: it agrees with dark wood, painted furniture, brass lamps and other black frames already in the room.
The opening is rectangular, so a standard 5 by 7 print goes straight in without cropping, and the hooks are set for vertical or horizontal hanging, which matters more at this size than at 4 by 4 because a 5 by 7 is large enough to be the only frame on a stretch of wall. The carved molding is deep enough to throw a shadow, which is what stops a black frame from looking like stationery.
Polyresin with a hand-finished look, clear stain-resistant glass, and an easy-open back for changing photos. Both an easel stand and metal hanging hooks are built in, so it does not need to be decided in advance whether this one stands or hangs.
