Christmas Tree Throw Pillow with Star Topper, 15.7 in, Green

Description

It arrives filled, not as a cover, and it arrives flat, which surprises people. Vacuum packing is how a fluffy pillow travels without becoming a crate: take it out, shake it, knead and tear at the filling through the fabric to break it up, and leave it a day or two to come back to full shape.

The shape is the reason to buy it. A tree with a star on top reads as a decoration from across the room and as a cushion to anyone sitting down, so it works on a chair, a bench or the end of a bed where another printed square would simply be another square. Embroidered candy details are stitched into the face, and because each one is made by hand the size varies a little.

Teddy fleece is the soft short-pile fabric children reach for first, and the fill is PP cotton kept at an even thickness so the tree holds its outline instead of sagging. This one can go in the machine: cold wash on its own, no bleach, tumble dry low, which is the difference between a pillow in a family room and an ornament.
