A single pleated velvet heart in red, approximately 19.6 by 14 inches, where the folds give a flat color some depth.
Description
One cushion on a chair carries the whole look, and plain fabrics struggle with that. The pleated velvet here supplies its own detail: light runs along each fold and drops into the next, so a single piece has enough happening on it to look finished without a second cushion behind it.
It suits the places where a cushion is part of a setting rather than part of a sofa. A dining chair at a laid table, a bench in an entry hall, a side chair at a reception, approximately 19.6 by 14 inches and shaped rather than square, so it never reads as spare seat padding.
Soft pleated velvet with a luxurious hand over eco-friendly PP cotton, evenly filled and sewn closed. Completely handmade, so the pleat spacing differs slightly between pieces. Machine wash cold separately, tumble dry low, do not bleach, and allow a day or two of loft after unpacking.
