Two pleated velvet hearts in red, approximately 19.6 by 14 and 15.7 by 11.2 inches, where the folds do all of the shading.
Description
Pleating gives one color two readings. Folded velvet alternates a lit face and a shadowed one all the way across the surface, so from a few feet away the red looks banded and deep instead of uniform, and the heart gains an internal structure that a smooth cushion has to borrow from piping.
It is the dressiest pair we make in this shape and it belongs in rooms that are already formal: a velvet sofa, a dining bench, a side table at a reception. Approximately 19.6 by 14 inches and 15.7 by 11.2, so the smaller can sit in front of the larger on a deep seat.
Soft pleated velvet over eco-friendly PP cotton, luxurious to the hand, evenly padded, both filled and closed. Each is handmade and varies slightly in size. Machine wash cold separately, tumble dry low, do not bleach, and let them sit a day or two once the vacuum packing comes off.
