The tufting is the whole product. Rows of cotton loops are worked into the face in stacked arches, so the pattern is raised rather than printed and reads through touch and shadow instead of through color contrast. In practical terms that means it still looks like something in a room lit by one lamp, where a printed cushion goes flat.

Mustard is the warmer of the two colorways and the one that suits rooms with wood and brown leather in them. Against gray upholstery it lifts the whole arrangement; against beige it is close enough in tone that the tufting has to do all the work, which it can, but the effect is quieter than the photograph suggests.

This is a cover only, at 18 by 18 inches, with no insert included. Buy a 20 inch insert if you want the corners full and the face taut; an 18 inch insert in an 18 inch cover always looks slightly starved. The zipper is hidden in the bottom seam, so fold the insert in half, push it in and unfold it inside to fill the corners.
