Vintage Leaf Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Golden Bronze

Description

Leaves are the motif that lets an ornate frame sit next to real plants. Scrolls and flowers both read as formal European decoration, while foliage cast around the molding picks up the shapes of whatever is growing on the shelf beside it, so the frame joins that arrangement instead of interrupting it.

The gold is brushed over the casting rather than laid on flat, so it catches along the raised veins of the leaves and leaves the recesses dark, which is close to the way bronze garden ornament ages outdoors. In a dining room or a bathroom with plants in it, that is a warmer proposition than a clean gold rectangle.

Individually handcrafted resin with stain-resistant glass to stop sticky fingerprints reaching the print, and a standard 5 by 7 opening. The back carries an easel kickstand and a hanging hook, so it stands on a tabletop, countertop, desk or shelf either way round, or hangs upright on a wall, and the backing opens easily.
