Whale Pillows, Set of 2, Navy Blue

Description

Two of the same shape in a dark color read as repetition rather than as decoration, and that is the trick that makes a navy pair work on a long sofa where one would disappear. The eye picks up the rhythm first and the animal second, so the end result looks composed instead of themed.

Navy is also the version that outlasts a growing child. A sky blue whale belongs to a nursery and eventually reads that way; a deep navy pair carries on into a bunk room, a teenager's bed or a den without anyone deciding it is time to pack them away. Two of them hold both ends of a bed rather than one accent stranded in the middle.

Each is built as a full 3D shape, about 16.5 by 13.3 inches, with fins and tail stuffed rather than printed, over an eco-friendly fill that keeps the form. Both arrive vacuum-packed, so allow 24 to 48 hours out of the bag before judging them. Machine wash cold separately, tumble dry low, and skip the bleach on the navy.
