Butterfly Pillow, 18 in, Gold

Description

Gold is the reason to take this one rather than the sage green butterfly. The velvet has a sheen in it, so the wings shift tone as you walk past and pick up whatever light the room already has, which is how a single cushion registers against a dark sofa or a deep painted wall instead of sinking into it.

At roughly 18 by 13 inches it is the smaller of our two butterflies, which puts it in places the larger one overfills: an armchair, a window seat, the head of a single bed, or propped in front of square pillows where a wider shape would hide them. The silhouette is cut to the butterfly rather than printed on a square.

Inside is eco-friendly PP cotton with no odor out of the bag, supportive enough to hold the wing edges up rather than letting them fold over. Each one is finished by hand, so measurements move a fraction and no two pairs of wings come out identical. Machine wash cold on its own, tumble dry low, no bleach.
