Description

Sage green asks nothing of a room. It sits against white walls, oak, linen and most bedding already in place without becoming the first thing anyone looks at, which is why this is the butterfly for a nursery, a mid-century room or a bedroom rather than for a corner that needs waking up.

The wings carry intricate embroidery rather than a printed pattern, so the detail sits in slight relief and survives being handled and washed. The fabric feels like velvet but runs softer and smoother in the hand, and the PP cotton inside is even and flat rather than lumpy, fluffy but firm enough to keep the shape standing.

At about 19.6 inches tall and 15.7 wide when flat, this is the larger of the two butterflies we make, the one that fills the corner of a double bed or a three-seater where the 18-inch gold version would look stranded. Each is handmade, so sizes shift slightly. Machine wash cold in a laundry bag, tumble dry low, never bleach.
