What this one is for

This is the calmer of the two corduroy pairs. Blue green next to grass green keeps both tones on the cool side, so the set sits comfortably beside linen upholstery, undyed cotton and raw wood, where the lime version would be the loudest thing in the room by some distance.

The ribbed face is the whole argument for corduroy over the smooth pile. It gives the cushion a grain that a photograph picks up and a hand notices immediately, and on a room already full of flat painted surfaces that texture does more work than another color would. The cord runs the height of the plant, following the shape rather than cutting across it.

Both pieces come filled and ready to use, at 22 inches and 14. Wash cold, separately, and tumble dry low; brush along the ribs rather than against them to lift dust. Like everything in this range they ship vacuum-packed and take a day or two to reach full loft.
