Two tree-shaped pillows in striped faux fur, one dark green and one sage, both filled with eco-friendly PP cotton.
Description
Two pillows in two shades is a different arrangement from two of the same, and generally a better one. A dark green tree next to a sage one reads as a pair that was put together rather than bought in a box, and the tonal step between them stops the end of a sofa turning into one solid block of color.
They arrive filled and vacuum packed, which means the first job is not decorating. Take each one out, shake it, then knead and tear at the filling through the fabric to loosen it, and leave them out for a day or two. Striped faux fur recovers its pile the same way, with time rather than effort.
The pile is the point: a long soft face that catches light along the stripes and feels like something to hold rather than something to look at. Both can go in the machine on a cold cycle, separately, with no bleach and a low tumble, so a household with children is not forced to keep them out of reach.
