Reading Pillow Replacement Cover, 18 in, Sage Green Corduroy

Description

Cover only, with no filler supplied, which is exactly what you want when the pillow itself is fine. Reading pillows wear out from the outside: the shape holds for years while the fabric goes thin, flat and grubby, and a replacement cover fitted to standard 18 inch pillows puts the whole thing back into service for a fraction of a new one.

Sage green in a soft corduroy stripe is the version for a room where the backrest should not be the loudest object. On a made bed with white or oatmeal linen it reads as a piece of upholstery, which matters because a reading pillow sits upright against the headboard all day and is seen far more often than it is used.

The practical details are the same across both of our covers in this shape. A securely attached handle on the back carries the pillow between rooms; a small pocket on each arm takes a phone, a remote, a pill bottle or glasses, so the things you need while reading are not on the floor beside the bed. The cover is 100 percent polyester.

Installing it is a matter of opening the bottom zipper, feeding the filler in and then pushing it out into the arms and corners so the cover sits full rather than wrinkled. Machine wash cold and separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low.
