What this one is for

Sixteen inches is the size people forget exists. On a two-seater or a wing chair an 18 inch cushion sits too high against the back and pushes you forward; a 16 fits into the angle properly and leaves room to sit. If you have been putting up with cushions that end up on the floor, this is usually the reason.

The surface is a printed crosshatch that imitates a woven fabric while the cloth itself stays smooth. It is honest to say so: this is not a real weave, it is a print that reads as one from a couple of feet away, and the trade you get for that is a soft velvet-like hand and a face that does not snag.

Rust is the deepest color in this run, a brown-red that behaves like a neutral in autumn and like an accent in a white room. Covers only, no inserts; a 17 or 18 inch insert gives the fullest face. Machine wash cold and separately, tumble dry low.
