Office Chair Shawl Blanket, Cream White

Description

A blanket on an office chair lasts about ten minutes. It slides down behind you, trails on the floor and eventually goes under a castor, and the choice becomes working cold or getting up every quarter of an hour. The elastic strap across the back is the entire answer: the shawl stays attached to the chair, so standing up does not unwrap you.

The cut covers both ends of the problem. It is extended to take in the shoulders and the legs at once, which is what makes a personal warm zone at a desk in a cold room, and it does it without the bulk of a full blanket wrapped twice around somebody trying to type. You can stand, turn and reach across the desk still wearing it.

The fabric is premium flannel fleece, soft against bare arms and warm without weight, and the whole thing is machine washable, which matters on something worn at a desk every day through winter. It is sized as one size to fit most task chairs, mid-back executive chairs and home office chairs.

Cream white is the version for a room that is not an office. On a video call it reads as a soft throw over the chair rather than as workwear, and in a bedroom or a living room corner it looks like part of the furnishing instead of equipment brought in to solve a heating problem.
