Velvet Star Pillow, 20 in, Silver

Description

This is a complete pillow, not a cover, and the filling is in it when it arrives. It travels vacuum packed, so unpack it, shake it, and let it sit for 24 to 48 hours to come up to full thickness before deciding anything about the shape. Machine wash cold on its own, do not bleach, tumble dry low.

Silver is the cooler of our two single stars and the one for rooms built on grays, whites, chrome and glass, where gold reads as a warm intrusion. It is also marginally the bigger of the two at about 20 inches against the 19.6 of the gold, which is a small difference on paper and a visible one if you ever put the two side by side.

The velvet carries a shiny finish that picks up light along the folds, so a silver star does not flatten out into a gray shape in a dim room. Inside, the eco-friendly PP cotton is odor-free and firm enough to hold a slim pillow in shape, and the outline is cut and sewn by hand, so each one has its own slight character.
