Vintage Floral Oval Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Sage Green

Description

Sage behaves like a neutral rather than a color. It is gray enough to stay out of an argument with the furniture and green enough to agree with foliage, which is why this is the floral oval for a shelf that already holds plants, or for a room painted in the soft chalky tones that replaced plain white.

On the same mold, the finish changes what you notice first. In gold, the cast flowers around the window read as metalwork and the eye goes to the border. In sage they read as botanical, the frame looks closer to painted timber, and the photograph stays the loudest thing in the arrangement.

It takes a standard 5 by 7 print, cropped at the corners by the oval window, so center the subject. Durable polyresin with hand-finished detail, clear stain-resistant glass, an easel stand and built-in metal hooks for either orientation, and a backing that opens without tools.
