What this one is for
This is the boldest single object in the range, and it needs the space to justify it. An 8 by 10 oval in a saturated blue with a gold edge is a piece of wall decor that happens to hold a photograph, and on an empty painted wall it can carry the room on its own without a gallery arrangement around it.
The scale also changes how the color behaves. A small blue frame is an accent that picks up something else in the room; a large one sets the color and everything else has to agree with it, so it belongs where the walls are quiet and the furniture is neutral rather than in a room already fighting for attention.
