What this one is for
Some pictures cannot afford to lose their corners. A group photograph, a piece of children's artwork, a certificate or a print bought as art all need the whole rectangle, and this is the frame for those: an 8 by 10 opening that takes the print as it is, surrounded by the same carved molding as the oval version.
Rectangular also changes where it can hang. An 8 by 10 oval wants to be alone on a wall; an 8 by 10 rectangle sits happily in a grid with other rectangles, which makes this the anchor frame for a gallery wall built out of the smaller sizes in this range.
Black with gold trim, cast polyresin with a hand-finished look, clear stain-resistant glass that keeps dust and fingerprints off whatever is behind it, and a back that opens without tools. Easel stand and metal hanging hooks are both built in, for either orientation.
