Vintage Scalloped Christmas Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Beige with Holly

Description

The scalloped edge is the whole reason to choose this one. A frame with a wavy outline breaks a shelf of hard right angles the way a round frame does, but without giving up the rectangular opening, so you keep a standard 5 by 7 print and still get a shape that stops the eye. In a group of plain frames it is the one that makes the group look arranged.

Beige with a small bow and a sprig of holly is about as understated as a Christmas frame gets. The seasonal reference is there if you look for it and invisible from across a room, which means this frame can carry a holiday portrait in December and stay on the same shelf afterwards without anyone noticing it is still there.

It is cast in durable polyresin with the scalloping and the holly detail molded in one piece, and clear glass protects the print. Easel stand and metal hanging hooks are both built into the back for tabletop or wall use, and the backing opens conveniently for changing photographs.
