A 5 by 7 frame in beige with a cast bow and ribbon running down the border, glass front and an easy-open backing.
Description
This is the least literal of our seasonal frames and it is deliberate. There is no tree, no holly and no snow on it, only a bow and a length of ribbon cast into the border, which is a holiday reference in December and simply a decorative frame in April. If you frame one photograph a year and want it to stay out, this is the shape of frame to do it in.
Beige keeps that argument intact. A neutral finish with the ornament supplied by the molding rather than by color sits as comfortably in a bedroom or a hallway as on a mantel, and it does not force the rest of a shelf to be festive to make sense alongside it.
Five by seven is the portrait size: big enough to read a face across a room, small enough to stand on a side table or a bedside shelf without dominating it. Cast in durable polyresin behind clear glass, with an easel stand and metal hooks both built into the back and a backing that opens without tools.
