Vintage Arched Christmas Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Red with Holly

Description

Red is the traditional answer and it behaves predictably, which is the point. Put this into an existing run of black, wood or white frames along a hallway or up a staircase and the arrangement reads as decorated for the holiday without anything being taken down or rehung. One frame changed is usually enough; a whole wall of red is a different project.

The shape helps it carry that job. Among rectangles an arched top is the frame your eye lands on first, and the cast bow and holly sit on the crown where they are most visible, so the festive detail is at the top of the frame rather than scattered around the border where a photograph has to compete with it.

Underneath the finish it is the same construction as the rest of our seasonal frames: durable polyresin with detailed casting, a clear glass front protecting the print, an easel stand and metal hooks both built into the back for tabletop or wall use, and a backing that opens without a struggle when the picture changes.
