Farmhouse Hanging Laundry Hamper, Gray Stripes

Description

Gray is the cool one in the range. Every other stripe we make here runs warm, and in a room of white tile, chrome fittings and a stainless machine a brown or beige-brown bag ends up being the only warm object in it. Gray on the back of that door agrees with the room instead of apologizing to it, which is the whole reason this colorway exists.

The bag holds 19 by 28 inches of washing while standing just 3.5 inches off the door, hung on the two metal hooks supplied, which fit a door 1 to 1.57 inches thick. The mouth is wide, so bulky things go in without aiming, and the zip along the bottom empties it into the machine without the bag ever being turned upside down.

A front pocket of about 11 by 8 inches keeps small items off the bottom of a bag this deep. The whole thing is machine washable and collapses flat when it is not in use, which is why a bag like this ends up in small laundry rooms, dorms and shared bathrooms rather than taking the square foot of floor a rigid hamper needs.
