Paper clutter arrives in two sizes and one basket only solves one of them. The floor rack at 15 by 11 by 6.1 inches takes magazines, newspapers, books and board games; the upright holder at 8 by 5.5 by 5 inches stands on the table above it and keeps letters, bills and anything that still needs answering where they can actually be seen.

That division is why this is the pairing for a hallway console rather than a coffee table. Post arrives standing up in the small sorter, so nothing gets buried under a magazine within a day, while everything already read goes down into the larger basket beside the table. At 6.1 inches deep the rack slides into the narrow gap next to furniture that round baskets cannot use.

Both pieces are hand-woven from biodegradable paper rope over a reinforced metal frame, which is what lets a shallow basket carry a full load without bowing outward. The scalloped top edge is the decorative part and it holds its wave because of that frame rather than in spite of it. Being handmade, no two scallops come out quite identical.
