Linen Blend Lumbar Pillow Covers, Set of 2, Beige and Dark Brown

Description

Covers only, with no pillow inserts in the box. A 12 by 20 insert is the straight match and a 14 by 20 gives a firmer cushion that pushes back more against the spine. The zipper is hidden in the bottom seam, so fold the insert in half to get it through, then open it out inside the cover and work the corners full with your hand.

A lumbar is the one cushion shape in this section bought for the body rather than for the room. Twelve inches is deep enough to fill the gap behind the back on a long-seated sofa without shoving you forward off the cushion, and twenty across stays behind you when you shift, where a square either squashes flat or ends up on the floor.

Dark brown is the practical stripe for this position. The cushion that lives behind somebody's back is the one that collects hair oil, hands and dust, and a deep brown jacquard shows all three far less than a pale one does. Because the stripe is woven into the cloth rather than printed on top of it, there is also nothing on the surface to rub away where it is leaned on.

The cloth is 97 percent polyester with 3 percent linen, which is the blend that gives the slubby linen surface without the creasing real linen would show in a spot that gets sat against all evening. Machine wash cold and separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low.
