Linen Blend Pillow Covers, 18 x 18 in, Set of 2, Beige and Dark Brown

Description

Cover only on both, no inserts supplied. Eighteen inches is the standard sofa square, so the pair drops onto cushions you already have; for a face that looks filled rather than slack, put a 20 inch insert into an 18 inch cover and fold it to get it through the hidden zipper at the bottom seam.

Dark brown is the highest-contrast stripe of this family and the only one that reads as a graphic from across the room. That makes it the pair for a room with dark anchors in it already, espresso shelving, black metal legs, a charcoal rug, where a pale stripe would be the one soft thing with no relation to anything else in the arrangement.

The stripe is chenille worked into a linen-blend ground as a jacquard, so the dark bands stand slightly off the surface and catch light differently from the beige between them. Printed covers go flat under a single lamp in the evening; a woven one keeps its relief, which is the whole reason to pay for a weave rather than a print.

The cloth is 97 percent polyester with 3 percent linen, which holds the linen texture without the creasing. Machine wash cold and separately, do not bleach, tumble dry low, and keep a deep brown out of a mixed wash for the first cycle.
