Description
On a desk the problem is not usually books, it is the pile of folders, albums and unfiled paper that leans further over every week. A weighted bookend with a ribbed metal frame stands that pile up, and the macrame front means the desk does not acquire another piece of black wire office hardware to do it.
The tassels are the part that changes the character. They hang below the knotted panel and move slightly when you pass, which is why a pair of these reads as decoration on a shelf rather than as a fixture, and why they end up in bedrooms and living rooms as often as in a study.
Underneath, the construction is straightforward and strong: a solid metal shelf with smooth ribbed edges for rigidity, non-skid padding on the base to protect the surface and stop them sliding, and cotton knotted by hand over the visible face.
