Scalloped Magazine Rack and Remote Holder Set, Natural

Description

The small piece in this set is 7.8 by 5.5 by 4 inches, which is short enough that remotes, coasters and a phone stand in it with their ends showing and come out without looking. That is a coffee table object rather than a hallway one, and it is the reason to take this version of the set rather than the one with the taller upright letter holder.

The large basket is the same slim 15 by 11 by 6.1 inch rack, and it goes on the floor at the end of the sofa to hold the magazines, catalogs, discs and games that otherwise live in a stack on the rug. Six inches of depth means it fits between a sofa arm and a wall, and the slim shape lets it be stored inside a cabinet when the room is tidied properly.

Both are hand-woven from renewable paper rope around a sturdy internal metal frame, with the coastal scalloped edge worked into the rim. The fibers are biodegradable and the tone is warm rather than bleached, so the pair reads as decor as much as storage in a living room. Handmade, which means the weave varies a little from one piece to the next.
