Description

A gallery wall full of nails is a decision you have to live with, and in a nursery or a playroom it is the wrong kind of decision, because what goes on that wall changes as fast as the child does. A ledge solves it the lazy way: frames, board books and small objects stand on it and get swapped around in seconds, with no new holes in the plaster.

Each shelf measures 15.7 inches long, 3.9 wide and 2.5 high, which takes a row of 8 by 10 frames leaned back against the wall, or a mix of frames and front-facing picture books. Two of them hung one above the other make a stacked arrangement with real depth in it, which is the one thing a flat grid of frames cannot do.

They are woven from 100 percent eco-friendly paper rope around a metal frame, so the scalloped edge holds its shape while staying light, and they are meant for lightweight things: books, toys and decor rather than anything heavy. All the hardware needed for mounting is included, and flipping one upside down gives a plain curved edge instead of the scallop.
