The gold ribbon-twist version of our 5 by 7 bow frame, cast in polyresin with the twist following the whole border.
Description
On this one the ribbon is not an accent, it is the border. The twist runs the full way round the opening, so the frame reads as a continuous molded rope of gold rather than as a plain edge with a bow attached, and that is what lets it sit in a line of brass candlesticks, gilt mirrors and glass without being the odd object in the row.
All-gold also solves a specific problem with holiday photographs. A red or green frame fixes the picture to one time of year; a gold one makes the same photograph look formal rather than seasonal, which is why this is the frame people use for a portrait they intend to leave on the mantel permanently.
The 5 by 7 opening takes a standard portrait print.
