Description

The fitting first, because it is the one thing that stops this working: the shade needs a lamp with a spider fitter and a harp, the wire hoop that stands above the bulb and holds the shade under a finial. If your lamp has neither, add a harp before the shade will sit. Past that, beige is the version that adds pattern without adding a color.

The floral print sits on a warm neutral ground, so from a step back you read texture first and detail second, rather than a block of color. That makes it the one to take when the walls and the bedding are already doing something and the only thing missing is that the two shades on the nightstands have gone flat or gone yellow.

Measurements are 13 inches across the top, 13 across the bottom and 10 tall, a medium drum that fits most table and floor lamps without overhanging the base.
