Vintage Floral Oval Picture Frame, 8 x 10 in, Sage Green

Description

Sage does the opposite of gold on a wall. There is no shine in it at all, so it stays where it is put and lets the photograph be the brightest thing inside the frame. That makes it the oval to use when the arrangement is already busy, or when the wall is dark enough that a gold frame would glare back at the lamp.

The color also decides the company it keeps. Sage sits between gray and green, close to dried eucalyptus, bare wood and the chalky wall colors that have replaced white, so it ties a group of frames to the plants and the furniture under it and not only to the other frames. Two of them at opposite corners of a wall quietly hold it together.

The shape is the same as the gold one: an oval window over a standard 8 by 10 print, so center whatever matters, because the corners will go. Flower detail through the ornate molding, polyresin with a brushed hand-finished surface, clear stain-resistant glass, an easel stand, metal hanging hooks and a back that opens without tools.
