Description
Sage on its own behaves like a neutral: gray enough to compete with nothing, green enough to agree with foliage. Put gold with it and the frame stops being quiet furniture and becomes a decorative object, which is the version to pick when the wall is plain and the frame is meant to carry some of the interest.
That makes it a shelf frame as much as a wall frame.
