A 5 by 7 oval finished in gold throughout with no contrasting trim, designed for upright display only.
Description
With no second color anywhere on it, the whole molding reads as one piece of aged gilt, and that is a different object from a colored frame with a gold edge. A single metallic is what gallery frames do, and it flatters a printed image, a drawing or an old photograph more than it flatters a phone snapshot.
This one is upright only, and it is better to know that now than after the print arrives. The easel stand and the hanging hook are both set for vertical use, so a wide landscape has nowhere to go in it, while a head and shoulders portrait is exactly what the oval window was shaped around.
The window crops the corners of a standard 5 by 7, so leave margin around the subject. Durable polyresin with a hand-finished look that keeps the ornate detail legible, clear stain-resistant glass, and a backing that opens quickly when the picture changes.
