Vintage Coquette Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Pink

Description

Pink decor goes wrong by accumulation: a dozen small soft things and a room starts to look like a gift shop. One larger piece does the job better, and this is built for that role, with three-dimensional flowers worked right around the opening so a single frame carries the whole idea on its own.

The relief is the part that photographs badly and works in person. Modeled flowers catch a room light from the side, so the border has shadow in it at every hour and the pink reads as several pinks rather than as one flat coat of paint. Put it where daylight comes in from a window instead of under flat overhead light.

It takes a standard 5 by 7 print behind clear stain-resistant glass, and the backing opens easily, which matters in a bedroom where the photograph tends to change with the year. An easel stand and built-in metal hanging hooks are both there, for a vanity, a nightstand or the wall above either one.
