Vintage Ridged Octagon Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Distressed Bronze

Description

This is the geometric end of our range. There is no foliage and no scrollwork anywhere on it: the molding is a series of clean ridges stepping down toward the opening, and all the character comes from the eight-sided outline. In a room with white walls and square furniture that is far easier to place than a carved frame.

Distressed bronze does the aging that the profile refuses to do. The high points of each ridge read lighter than the hollows between them, so the frame looks like something that has stood on a shelf for thirty years while the shape itself stays strictly modern. Architectural pictures and graphic black and white suit it.

A standard 5 by 7 print fills the opening with nothing cropped away. Cast in durable polyresin with a hand-finished surface, protected by clear stain-resistant glass, with an easel stand, cast-in metal hanging hooks and a backing that opens without tools.
