Description

A pearl border is made of repetition, and repetition needs length before anyone registers it. Around a 5 by 7 opening there is enough of it that the eye follows the beads the whole way round, which is why this size works hung alone on a pale wall where a smaller one would read as a bright edge and no more.

Silver on a light wall is a quieter proposition than gold. It holds the outline without warming the room, so in a bedroom done in whites, grays and linen it stays part of the background while still being clearly an ornament rather than a plain frame bought to hold a print.

A standard 5 by 7 print goes in uncropped, behind clear stain-resistant glass that keeps dust and fingerprints off it. Polyresin body with a hand-finished look, an easel stand and built-in metal hooks for vertical or horizontal use, and an easy-open backing.
