A 5 by 7 rectangle in a walnut wood tone, cast in polyresin with ornate relief and a brushed finish.
Description
Four or five metallic frames in a row stop being frames and become a display of frames. A walnut tone does the opposite: it sits at the color of the bookcase, the sideboard or the shelf it stands on, so what the eye picks out along the row is the faces rather than the borders drawn around them.
That makes it the easiest finish here to buy more than one of, and the one that does least harm to an ordinary snapshot, because nothing about the frame competes for attention. Keep the prints at a standard 5 by 7 and the rectangular opening takes them whole, with no cropping to plan for in advance.
The material is durable polyresin with a hand-finished surface, so the ornate molding keeps the shape of real carving instead of going soft, and the print sits behind clear stain-resistant glass. Easel stand, metal hooks and an easy-open backing are all built in.
