An 8 by 10 in gold and black with a vine pattern running through the ornate molding, behind clear glass.
Description
Leaves and stems wander around this opening instead of scrolls turning at the corners, and it lands between the two. Softer than architectural ornament, less loaded than a garland of roses, a vine border suits a picture you want framed properly without the frame announcing an occasion on your behalf.
Gold over black is what makes the pattern readable across a room. The brushed highlight sits on the raised leaves while the recesses stay dark, so from a distance the vine reads as a continuous line of relief rather than as a texture, and the frame still works as the dark anchor of an arrangement.
The 8 by 10 rectangle takes a full print, which is what art and group photographs need: botanical prints, a pressed-flower study, a wedding photograph with several people in it.
