Textured Pillow Covers, 18 x 18 in, Set of 2, Cinnamon Brown

Description

Eighteen inches is the default sofa square and the easiest size to find inserts for, which makes this the pair to take if you are replacing tired covers rather than adding a size you do not own. Covers only, no inserts in the box; a 20 inch insert fills the corners, an 18 leaves the face softer.

Cinnamon brown is a warm mid-brown with red in it, which is the tone that behaves like a neutral in a room of oak, walnut and tan leather and like a color in a white one. It is the least demanding of the warm shades, because almost every living room already contains some wood for it to agree with.

The surface is a crosshatch printed onto smooth cloth to imitate a weave, and in a mid-tone like this the print sits in the middle of its range: close up the hatching is clearly visible, from the doorway the cushion reads as a plain warm square. The hand is velvety rather than textured, which is the trade a print makes.

Covers only. The zipper is invisible and runs along the bottom seam, so nothing interrupts the face; fold the insert in half, feed it in and open it out inside the cover so the corners fill rather than standing empty with the middle bulging.
