Vintage Christmas Picture Frame, 5 x 7 in, Red with Gold Trim

Description

Five by seven is the size at which a portrait starts working across a room rather than only when you walk up to it. That is the job this frame is for: the one photograph on the mantel, the sideboard or the hall table that people see from where they are sitting, in a red and gold finish that reads as festive without a single seasonal motif on the molding.

It is also the middle step of three. The same frame exists at 4 by 6 and 8 by 10, and the three sizes in the same finish make a stepped group on a wall or along a shelf, which is a more convincing arrangement than three frames of one size and far easier than matching finishes across different ranges.

Durable polyresin with a hand-finished brushed look holds the ornate relief, and clear stain-resistant glass keeps the print clean. Easel stand and built-in metal hanging hooks let it stand or hang in either orientation, and the backing opens easily for a change of photograph.
