Description
At this size the plain sides matter more than they do on a small frame. A long unbroken run of heavy carving around an 8 by 10 starts to look like a mirror rather than a picture frame, so holding the ornament at the corners lets the print read at the size it actually is and keeps the frame from swallowing it.
Gold and green is the calmer half of the corner-scroll pair. It belongs where there is already wood, leather or dark paint for it to sit against, which is usually a study, a hallway or a bookcase wall, and it can hold the middle of a gallery arrangement without demanding that everything else stay plain.
The opening is a true rectangle, so nothing is cropped: artwork, certificates and group photographs keep their corners. Durable polyresin with hand finishing, clear stain-resistant glass against dust and fingerprints, an easel stand and metal hooks for either orientation, and an easy-open backing.
